This game is a complete standalone game covering the famous Tunisia Campaign from November 1942 to June 1943. It is a sequel to our previous game Afrika Korps, with a shorter time frame and turn length (weekly turns). As an Axis commander, you must hold Tunisia until Rommel’s forces have safely evacuated Libya, and then hold your ground in North Africa for as long as possible. As an Allied commander, you must make the best use of American, British and French forces to drive the enemy from his African foothold and be ready to invade Sicily and Italy in early summer 1943.
Afrika Korps: Tunisia contains a variety of scenarios covering various periods of the Tunisia campaign, from mid-November 1942 to June 1943. Small scenarios cover the famous battles of Kasserine Pass (the first American defeat of the war), the Battle of Mareth Line or the final push into Tunisia (Operation Vulcan). Medium campaigns cover the initial capture of Tunisia (November 42 – February 43) or the period from the arrival of Rommel and his Afrika Korps to the end (March – June 1943). Finally, the Grand Campaign scenario lets you lead Axis and Allied forces from the aftermath of the Torch landings in 1942 to the fall of Tunisia in early summer 1943.
Scenarios last from 2 turns (for small ones) to over 30 turns, each representing a week-long period from mid-November 1942 to late June 1943. One player represents the German and Italian Axis forces (land and air) in Tunisia, while the other commands the American, British and French forces fighting for the Allies.
