In this action-adventure game, Irish developers invite you to take part in an epic tour of ancient Norse mythology as the warrior Thor. He died in an unbecoming Viking way, and now he is forced to restore his lost military honor by all available means. You will face off against mythical monsters that will unfold in the magnificent snowy expanses of Northern Europe. You will have to distinguish yourself in order to restore your name to its former glory and return to Valhalla.
The game bears little resemblance to a hack-and-slash RPG. There are a minimum of numbers, no experience points, no kill statistics. You will have to prove that you are a valiant warrior only with your combat skills and ingenuity. The gameplay is based on collecting runes that call you to the Jotun arena, and focuses on the fierce fight between these Norse giants. The game world is procedurally generated, so it is full of various unexplored areas and puzzles. To solve them, as well as find the way to the altars, Gods and other game “treasures”, you will need to look into the darkest corners of Purgatory!
