Vernal Edge is an action-packed 2D Metroidvania with intense combat, tight platforming, and a compelling story of rivalry, revenge, and improvement.

20 Years prior to the events of the game, the mysterious kingdom of Haricot inexplicably took to the skies and shattered into a multitude of scattered floating islands, allowing the power-hungry Aloe Church to seize control of the kingdom.

With a personal grudge against the Aloe Church and its minions, Vernal sneaks into Haricot on one of the Church’s airships. She travels the kingdom alone, seeking revenge for her long-dead adventurer father. Vernal has outstanding combat skills, but she always takes her amnesiac robot assistant Shervil with her on her own flying machine when she travels around the various islands of Harikot.

You will have the opportunity to transform into Vernal and help her reach her goal. Overcoming the hardships of traveling through the floating islands and facing various opponents like the elusive Alstroemeria, you will uncover both the secrets of the heroine’s past and the mysteries of what is happening in Harikot at the present time.
