Dreamscapes: The Sandman

When Laura was a child, her father often told her that she was special. But Laura’s father died before she reached adulthood, and Laura didn’t know what her father was talking about. In memory of her father, Laura keeps the Dreamcatcher amulet – her father gave it to Laura when she was a child, because Laura complained that she had nightmares.

Suddenly, her beloved Dreamcatcher disappears, and Laura falls asleep during a concert. The doctors shrug – she fell into a lethargic sleep, and despite all their efforts, she was never able to wake up. That’s when Professor Sanders offered his services.

We play as the professor’s assistant – a volunteer who offered his candidacy to participate in an experiment to wake Laura up.

With the help of the professor’s invention – the “dream machine” – the player will have to make a dangerous journey through Laura’s subconscious, find her and try to bring her to consciousness in order to learn the reasons why she fell into a coma.

By destroying Laura’s nightmares one by one, the player realizes that Laura is leading him to herself, leaving pages from her diary and clues. With each destroyed nightmare, Laura becomes stronger – this is evident from the fact that the terrible world is gradually transformed.

Gradually, the player learns about the Sandman, the Guardians of Dreams and that Laura is the chosen one, the world has been waiting for her appearance for many years.

Having collected all the Dreamcatchers, Laura plans to destroy the Sandman and interrupt the terrible ritual.

Now that Laura has her Dreamcatcher, Sandman has no power over her, but he is furious and promises revenge. And his next victim is Tim – Laura’s best friend. To be continued.
