Whispers of a Machine is a Scandinavian noir sci-fi game that tells the story of Vera, a cybernetically augmented special agent investigating a series of murders. There is something even more terrifying behind these brutal killings, and Vera soon comes across a group of fanatics who are trying to create artificial superintelligence, a technology that has been outlawed for almost a century.

Vera’s task is not made any easier by the ghosts of her past, which inopportunely remind her of themselves and make her doubt both her own sanity and her own value system.

Vera is assisted in her investigation by a high-tech nano-substance called Blue. This unique technology allows her to develop superhuman abilities that match her psychological state.
