Across the Grooves is an interactive graphic novel set in a magical realist universe. Your decisions affect Alice’s fate, dramatically altering her reality and allowing her to explore alternate destinies by changing her past.
Alice lives an ordinary life. She is in a long-term relationship, has a stable office job, and a nice apartment in the center of Bordeaux. One day, Ulysses, her former lover, comes back into her life through an old vinyl record she receives in the mail. When she puts it on the turntable, she is pulled back into the past, forcing her to relive the events of the past. When she returns to the present, her reality has changed.
Determined to get her life back on track, Alice packs her bags and sets off on a journey across Europe, following in Ulysses’ footsteps and trying to discover the origins of the record. However, her journey gradually turns into a search for herself, as she discovers new parallel realities every time she puts the needle into the groove.
