DESTRUCTURE: Among Debris

In DESTRUCTURE: Among Debris you will use (very realistic) physics to destroy the world around you. After some devastating event, all that is left of the world is piles of trash and debris, abandoned buildings and evil automatic turrets, and your mission is to finally cleanse the world of this cluttered mess.

The gameplay consists of controlling the Round Thing of Destruction! (yes, that’s what it’s called), over which you have full control in all directions, which makes bouncing the iron ball even more enjoyable. But you must remember that under no circumstances should you miss this ball, as at each level there is a metal shredder behind you, ready to gobble up everything that gets into it.

But DESTRUCTURE is not an ordinary arkanoid, because the levels fight back! Destroy enough buildings and you’ll awaken the bloodthirsty turrets. Trust us, they’re not happy to see you. Using all your skill, you must dodge their bullets, missiles, lasers, and other dangers, and the more you destroy, the more you’ll have to dodge. Bullet hell fans, rejoice!

If you’re lucky, you can pick up powerful weapons and power-ups that you can use at a critical moment. It’s like finding a ruble on the sidewalk, except in this case, the ruble is a rocket launcher or a laser, and the sidewalk is the wreckage of a structure that had a purpose long ago.

Progressing in the world of DESTRUCTURE is a difficult and thankless task. First, remember the evil turrets that are constantly trying to kill you, add to that a hostile environment filled with various dangers. Luckily, some benefactors, whose names we will not mention, have provided you with a wide range of tools and upgrades that will increase your chances of survival (and, therefore, more destruction). However, as always, they are not free, so be sure to catch Blue Things (whatever they are) throughout the levels, which these mysterious benefactors will use for very important things (things that should not interest you at all). Just remember that it is in your best interest to collect as many of these Blue Things as possible. The main thing is not to get destroyed while you are doing it.

With Blue Stuff, you can purchase cool new destructive toys like Zeus’ Blessing, Suicide Turrets, or just plain old Napalm Rain to rise above the ranks of the regular Round Things of Destruction! and finally destroy what’s left of the dusty, barren worlds of DESTRUCTURE.
