Game description

Malus is an action role-playing game with a focus on horror, combat, and gameplay. The game is much slower than a typical ARPG. In Malus, the world is overrun by eternal darkness. Demons have won the Celestial War and have taken over the world. In every corner of the earth you will find evil lurking. Humanity is on the verge of extinction. You play as a man or woman, you wake up in the middle of a forest not knowing how you got there, you scour the land for answers. Soon you uncover dark and terrifying secrets about the earth as well as yourself.

Features

Unique Combat System
Malus has a grapple mechanic that allows you to maneuver around enemies effectively during combat. You also have the ability to block (if you have a shield) and dodge on command. Combat is slower and more tactical compared to other ARPG Realism
Your character keeps his weapon in its scabbard when not in combat, pulls an arrow from his quiver when shooting a bow, and equips a flashlight to illuminate dark areas. When there is no light source, the area becomes almost black as pitch. The goal is to create an immersive, believable atmospheric environment to allow players to participate in the story we want to tell. We also try to minimize UI elements such as damage numbers and flashing enemies when hit as much as possible. Loot and Item Variety
Find rare and ancient weapons. Transform your character from a peasant to a formidable fighter. Protect yourself from the ever-growing horde of darkness Attributes and Skills
Upgrade your character using an old favorite ARPG formula. Learn new spells and skills and use your new found abilities to crush the demonic horde. Elements of Horror
Immerse yourself in a creepy and terrifying world. Dark and mysterious dungeons are scattered across the land for you to explore This game will not include a multiplayer mode (yet). Instead, it will be a single-player RPG game. The map will be open world, you can explore it, do side quests and go wherever you want, there will be no invisible walls. You are only limited by the strength of the monsters in that particular area.
