Welcome to a tropical paradise! You didn’t expect this, did you? Take a break from Route 66 and offer your services to a new population on a remote tropical island. They need gas, too. And their boats, and their jet skis…
With the Tidal Wave expansion, you can build a new gas station on a remote island paradise, one that comes with its own unique rules, new gameplay mechanics, stunning surroundings, and divine peace.
Tidal Wave.
A new environment calls for new hazards and events. Tides, waves, and thunderstorms can ruin your day. While you won’t need Ruddy to clean up the sand after a dust storm, the new weather events have their own mechanics, and there’s still work to be done. That’s the price you pay for being on a lush tropical island…
Chunchumanchu.
The happiness or anger of the god Chunchumanchu is indicated by a volcano meter. His anger increases over time and can be increased by dissatisfied customers. Please Chunchumanchu by throwing coconuts or other items into the cauldron at the sacred altar. Different actions have different effects on reducing the god’s anger. Failure to make the god happy results in an ominous eruption that temporarily turns paradise into a living hell, disrupting business and scaring away customers.
Tourists.
With a whole new environment comes new expectations. Sure, there are still customers who want their cars refueled and repaired, but there’s also a whole new stream of customers whose expectations match the new environment. Their jet skis and boats need fuel, and tourists expect entertainment. How about offering them scuba diving or surfing equipment for rent?
Accidents.
You have to take better care of everything than ever. Proper equipment and maintenance are becoming crucial, and it’s no longer just about satisfaction. Bad equipment can lead to accidents, and accidents increase Chunchumanchu’s wrath. Focus on the new volcanometer and make sure your customers are safe. And it wouldn’t be Gas Station Simulator if we didn’t come up with some gimmicks, right? And what about a shark that might want to attack divers or surfers? Imagine Dennis, but really dangerous. That’s why we give you mines…
