CLAD in IRON: Sakhalin 1904 is a historical naval game that combines turn-based tactics and real-time simulation.
Historical Events:
In the 19th century, Russia and Japan began to develop the wild, but resource-rich lands along the shores of the Sea of Okhotsk. By 1875, Hokkaido and the Kuril Islands were under Japanese rule, and Sakhalin Island and the Kamchatka Peninsula became part of the Russian Empire.
In early 1904, Japan and Russia began a war for dominance in the Far East. The main events of this war took place in Manchuria and around the Russian naval base in China in the city of Port Arthur. But the opponents were ready to fight in the Sea of Okhotsk as well.
Will Russia be able to defend Sakhalin Island from the Japanese invasion? Will Japan lose the Kuril Islands? It depends only on you!
Gameplay description:
Control your fleet and army, build coastal structures and transport ships, hunt the enemy fleet, hide your squadrons of ships in protected ports until reinforcements arrive, blockade enemy ports and trade routes, land troops, fight for supremacy over the seas in turn-based tactics mode – all these actions are possible in CLAD in IRON: Sakhalin 1904.
The real-time naval battle simulator mode allows you to control formations and maneuvers of individual ships and their squadrons, control the ship’s artillery, use emergency mode and fight flooding and fires, repair damage right in the battle. The game uses real historical characteristics of the speed and maneuverability of ships, ballistics and armor-piercing artillery, as well as the ability of ships to withstand combat damage.
ATTENTION! The game does not have interactive training, only a text user manual in English. The realism of historical characteristics is not sacrificed for the speed, simplicity and convenience of the gameplay.
