New
Set in 1054, just after the Great Schism, the game spans over two centuries of epic history across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
A Game of Numbers
- 450 factions
- 400 units
- 600 buildings
- 14 religions/Heresies
- 90 cultural Traits (all new)
Power and Disorder
Manage your royal domains with the new Power concept. Control your population and vassals, issue decrees to construct buildings, and declare war on your enemies.
Dynasties and Characters
Once you become a ruler, groom an heir by having one with your spouse or another person of your choice. Having an heir does not guarantee a peaceful transfer of power.
Religion
Having neighbors of a different religion leads to tension and sometimes war, even among tolerant rulers. When the imbalance becomes too great, diplomacy becomes secondary and war is declared. Lose too many holy cities and you will witness a crusade or jihad.
Regions and Population
Manage your population, from the humblest peasants to the prestigious, powerful and troublesome nobles. The social ladder is difficult to climb, and your ability to keep the social classes in check is paramount to success.
War
Defend your borders and build an army of experienced fighters. Knights, sergeants, spearmen, crossbowmen, and many other types of units can be used to accomplish your goals.
Field of Glory II Integration
If you want even more direct control, Field of Glory: Kingdoms allows you to export and load your battles into Field of Glory II: Medieval, then load the results back into the game.
Multiplayer
And once you think you’re up for a challenge, play against real opponents in one of the largest asynchronous multiplayer systems ever created.
