Henry McCarty had a typical Texas country bumpkin childhood. Henry was a hot-tempered scoundrel who wasn’t very attached to his father. And when his old man lost the farm, McCarty finally sent him packing and went off to find his own destiny.

Over the next ten years, Henry tried his hand at dozens of jobs. By the time the war broke out, he was already in trouble with local criminals, so he left Texas and headed to New York with his bad temper and a pair of trusty revolvers.
