They say that the end is the beginning of something new. We know that World War II ended in 1945, but Panzer Corps 2 gives you the opportunity to continue the story of Axis Operations by playing the final part of the series:
Axis Operations 1946: Amerika
Continuing the deviating history that began in the previous expansion, Axis Operations 1946 offers players a grand and completely original campaign dedicated to the Nazi-Japanese invasion of the United States.
Prepare the Wehrmacht for the decisive battles in the United States. In this large campaign, consisting of 30 scenarios, you will have to go through the entire continental United States from the East Coast to the West.
For maximum realism, we turned to an American historian, who helped to create a sense of authenticity in this historical moment!
An original campaign for new and experienced players alike
The events that lead up to this Axis invasion of the USA are set in previous Axis Operations campaigns. The 1946 edition is specifically designed to be fun for all players.
To achieve this, almost every scenario in Axis Operations 1946 uses a new multi-tiered objective system.
Primary Objectives
These are the foundational objectives that Panzer General fans have come to love. Fight for control of territory by moving your armies across the USA.
Completing these objectives is necessary to progress through the campaign; Players of all skill levels can tackle them.
Bonus Objectives
Unlike previous bonus objectives in Axis Operations, the bonus objectives in the 1946 campaign are located in locations that lie off the main line of attack. Players looking to capture additional prestige resources will receive a variety of bonus objectives that will improve the supply of the Panzer Corps and prepare it for further battles.
Bonus objectives are optional.
Elite Objectives
These objectives are for experienced players with well-organized forces available for import. You will face fierce resistance from an enemy with superior forces, and perhaps worse…
Elite Objectives are optional.
NEW GAMEPLAY FEATURES AVAILABLE IN THE 1946 CAMPAIGN
• Special super-large warship models, such as the gigantic Japanese battleship Yamato
• American B-29 bombers armed with atomic bombs
• German V-2 rockets with nuclear warheads
• Japanese Fugaku bombers with 6 engines, specially modified to carry Fritz X rockets
• Several completely new combat units created exclusively for Panzer Corps 2
• Land cruisers!
CONTINUING THE GAME WITH YOUR OWN TANK CORPS
Players can import their core forces from the previous Axis Operations 1945 Eastern campaign, or take the default core forces and begin the Axis Operations 1946 Amerika campaign.
The benefits of imported forces include additional growth and objectives due to the increased difficulty, as well as expanded game modes and new elite targets. The default forces include a number of experienced units and a variety of heroes – enough to get any player through the new campaign successfully.
END OF THE AXIS OPERATIONS SERIES
The 1946 campaign will be the last installment in the Axis Operations series. This is a grand conclusion to the series that players have been steadily building up their forces towards ever since Axis Operations departed from its historical path!
