Set sail and join one of the colonial powers of the 17th century: Spain, England, the Netherlands or France, to fight for supremacy over the Caribbean. In Port Royale 4, you will become a young and ambitious colonial ruler who dreams of figuring out how to turn a small settlement into a bustling trading city.
Develop production chains that connect multiple islands and create complex trade routes to cross the Caribbean and meet the growing demands of developing cities. Study the detailed sea map to avoid stormy weather regions, cliffs or shallow waters. Complete quests for your country’s viceroy to gain fame and unlock new buildings, ships and more. Conquer enemy cities or hunt their ships with letters of marque, but beware of other pirates.
For the first time in the series, naval battles will be turn-based. Up to 8 ships can join the battle, and captains can maneuver tactically to achieve a brilliant victory even in the most hopeless situation.
