The game recreates the Taiping Rebellion from 1851-1864. It was one of the deadliest and most horrific civil wars in China, killing millions.
Play as the Taiping rebels and their allies as they fight to establish their own state, or play as the Qing Emperor and crush the rebellion and its foreign devil allies before they overthrow your dynasty.
From 1851 to 1864, China was engulfed in its most horrific and deadly civil war, the Taiping Rebellion, which killed millions of Chinese. In this game, you will play as the rebel forces of the “Heavenly Kingdom” (aka Taipings) and their allies, such as the Nien bandits, against the Qing Dynasty. Other rebellions and interference from foreign powers will play a nasty role for both sides.
Scenarios range from 8 turns (for small ones) to over 164 turns (the 13-year grand campaign), each representing a one-month period between April 1851 and December 1864.
One player represents the Taiping rebels and their allies, the other the various Qing forces. Both have land and naval units under their command and can engage in diplomacy with foreign powers.
