Stirring Abyss is a turn-based indie tactical RPG game about uncovering the ancient secrets of the deep, set in classic stories by H.P. Lovecraft. You take command of the surviving crew of the USS Salem, a submarine that sank during a top-secret research mission during the early years of the Cold War. They find themselves amidst the ruins of a vanished civilization, their vessel too damaged to rise to the surface.
GREAT STORY MODE
In Story Mode, you must uncover the secrets of the deep, while desperately trying to rescue your missing crew and repair the badly damaged Salem. The decisions you make will determine the fate of your crew—and the world.
ADAPT AND MUTATE YOUR CREW
The fate of the expedition depends on the strengths of its members. You have a wide range of skills and character traits at your disposal, all of which open up new facets to combat and story events. As you progress deeper, you can also mutate your crew, giving them strength but also horror. The price of survival is high, and no one emerges unchanged.
SURVIVE THE MADNESS
The horrors and emptiness that lurk in the depths are sometimes unbearable, and your crew may experience bouts of despair, exhaustion, and madness. What will become of their psyche? Will it become stronger or suffer irreversible changes? The outcome will depend only on the whims of fate itself.
SEEK RESOURCES AND IMPROVISE
The more you explore the abyss, the more likely you are to find lost treasures of the deep. Collected resources can be turned into weapons, defenses, and other useful equipment… Or is it better to use them to repair and upgrade the Salem? It is up to you to decide how to increase your team’s chances in the fight for survival.

Endless mode will pit your team against countless hordes of enemies that will become stronger by the minute. This is the best opportunity to show off your strategic abilities, as you will not only have to choose how to upgrade your team, but also react to the powers that your enemies gain.
