Stronghold: Warlords – The Mongol Empire Campaign

The Mongol Empire Campaign takes you through the siege of Wuhan, civil war, clashes with the Song Dynasty, and more across 6 historical missions. The campaign chronicles Kublai’s infamous campaigns across mainland China, from the siege of Dali in 1253 to the rise of the Yuan Dynasty. The Mongol Empire Campaign is a gripping chapter in Mongol military history that will test the skills of even the most seasoned Stronghold veterans!

Expanding on the single-player campaign included with the Stronghold: Warlords base game, this new DLC campaign spans over a decade of conflict with 6 new missions. As Kublai’s story unfolds, players will experience unique maps with fresh tactical scenarios and challenging missions to ultimately become the Khagan of the Empire. As part of the new campaign, the Mongol Empire DLC also includes two brand new AI warlords to play against in skirmish and multiplayer modes.

Warlord Monkey

Warlord Monkey surprises his enemies with unpredictable tactics and unexpected castle captures. With the ability to copy the abilities of other warlords, our monkey strategist randomly selects his buff by copying one of the buffs from another enemy warlord on the map. This buff is reset each time Warlord Monkey is captured. Recapture a Warlord to accidentally gain a buff that’s perfect for the situation, and your enemies will beg for mercy!

Warlord Monkey’s charters can increase your wood supply to boost your economy, as well as send reserve troops to attack the enemy. However, his most useful charter allows him to send reinforcements with ladders to deploy troops near enemy castles and quickly scale walls.

Warlord Peacock

Warlord Peacock knows the importance of looking good, which will boost your economy and increase your popularity. This is complemented by a buff that not only increases your popularity from clothing, but also makes your citizens look the best looking in the land.

Warlord Peacock can provide valuable silk to support your clothing production, further increasing your popularity and allowing you to significantly increase your taxes! He can also provide gold supplies if you need particularly expensive defensive troops or troops from the military academy. Finally, Peacock can call upon Imperial Standard Bearers in times of need, which can boost your army’s morale and survivability.
