An alien probe is detected approaching Earth. While humans are unaware, alien forces have established themselves on the far reaches of the Kuiper Ice Belt, where they have begun to mine resources and prepare for an invasion.
When the nations of Earth are unable to unite against the alien threat, transnational groups led by military, political, and scientific leaders begin to emerge to fight back against the potential enemy on their own. While the aliens’ motives remain unknown, factions are formed on Earth, driven by hope, fear, and greed.
You will be the leader of one of these factions.
Investigating the Alien Threat
A distant anomaly, a mysterious crash site, and a sharp increase in missing persons. Is this humanity’s first contact with alien life forms? As your agents explore potential alien sites and your scientists discover new areas of research, you will gradually learn the truth about the aliens’ arrival.
Struggle for Power
You start the game on Earth as the leader of one of the secret organizations that adheres to your chosen ideology. The aliens are approaching and will be here soon, but for now your main enemies (and maybe allies) will be other Earth factions.
Expanding Influence in a Dynamic Solar System
Terra Invicta blurs the line between the real modern world and fantasy strategies about vast interstellar empires. In this game, you will have to direct the first steps of humanity in colonizing the Solar System, where more than 300 space bodies are constantly moving – asteroids, satellites and planets, creating a living and moving strategic map.
Serious science fiction and strategy
Terra Invicta explores the question of “how could it be?”: how could colonies on Mars function, what engines could our spaceships fly on, what would space colonization and space warfare be like. Here the player discovers large metal deposits on the asteroid (16) Psyche and builds a mining station on it – and then he learns that in the real world NASA is preparing the Psyche Mission for the same reason.
Mod Support
Terra Invicta is designed to be moddable from the ground up, and will not require any programming skills to access most of the game’s assets. We hope that the Solar System as a setting and the detailed geopolitical simulation will give all modders enough scope to implement their own ideas.
