During the desperate defensive battles of the late summer and autumn of 1942, the Soviet high command carefully planned the use of its reserves. The enemy forces at that time were greatly stretched, and the USSR decided that the time had come to deliver several crushing blows to the Nazi army.

The Don ‘42 add-on is dedicated to the offensive operations of the Red Army from the Don towards the Dnieper in the fateful winter of 1942-43 for the USSR.
