Europa Universalis IV: Lions of the North introduces new mission chains and development options for the Baltic Sea countries. Many development options include new “branching missions” that provide variety and replayability. By making different decisions, you can create alternative versions of history.

Europa Universalis IV: Lions of the North introduces new mission chains for the following countries and organizations.

• Denmark: The leader of the Kalmar Union wants unity in the kingdom, and is trying to achieve financial and political dominance in the Hanseatic League and the North Sea trading areas.
• Sweden: A powerful country may lay claim to dominance in Scandinavia, but is biding its time, ready to intervene at any moment and seize power on the continent.
• Norway: Resist the influence of powerful partners and forge a new sea route through the North Sea or even across the Atlantic.
• Scandinavia: United, the Nordic people will have many new opportunities to show their might to the world as they develop their cold region.
• Teutonic Knights: Once a great Crusader state, they are struggling to survive against the Poles and Lithuanians. Repeat history as Prussia, or experience a true war of faith.
• Poland, Lithuania, and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth: Unite the kingdoms and develop your vast lands, while keeping an eye on the rebellious nobility.
• Livonian Order and Courland: Follow the path of the Crusaders and deal with a heretic neighbor, or make your state secular.
• Riga: A devout merchant city can manipulate the politics of the Hanseatic League, provoke conflicts and reap their fruits.
